Faded pleasures

Jan 02, 2019

For the 6th edition of the Inattendus, the Nolinksi Hotel will welcome the photographer Cédric Roulliat for the “Faded Pleasures” exhibition from January 16 to April 19 in Paris.

In every one of his photos, the self-taught photographer relates a story, a universe, or an era. His characters, looking like Hollywood stars, are presented in scenery that is as dreamlike as it is quirky. Bodies and scenery share the bill in these archetype-filled vignettes, where beauty and weirdness come together to create an aura of quirkiness and decadence.

For this new gathering, the Nolinski Hotel welcomes you in the presence of the artist for the launch of this temporary exhibition. Cédric Rouillat will exhibit around twenty photos that are all influenced by different mediums, from cinema to comic books as well as photo comics.

“When I don’t have the time to go to the cinema, I look at one of Cédric Rouillat’s pictures.”
- Edwige Duclos, Translator, specialist in the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema
