A revival of the Belle Époque
G&G _ Magazine • December 11, 2019
Opened this year in Funchal, the Savoy Palace is the exclusive hotel and one of the reasons to visit Madeira Island, known as the pearl of the Atlantic ocean.
The interior design was in charge of the awarded and renowned Nini Andrade Silva that invited the Portuguese brand Jetclass to decorate one of the master suites inspired by the Belle Époque period. All bedroom have customized fabrics, bespoke furniture and traditional madeiran crafts, such as embroidery and wickerwork.
Every chosen piece was carefully thought to express the special atmosphere the designer wants to transmit: a very organic feel, highlighted by the use of nature and of curvilinear forms of materials.
The luxury touch comes with the attention to detail - the softness of textures and the richness of decorative features. Entering this suite will carry guests to a poetic world, where colour, aesthetics and iconic objects are all important.
