Shangri-La Paris

September 23, 2022

In the former home of Prince Roland Bonaparte, overlooking the Eiffel Tower and River Seine in the 16th arrondissement, ultimate Parisian elegance lives on at Shangri-La Paris.

Holding both Palace distinction and Monument Historique status, the hotel seamlessly blends European grandeur with traditional Asian hospitality and is home to the only Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant in France.

Variety and quality come together at Shangri-La Paris to satisfy the most refined palates. Guests can choose a relaxed experience under the impressive glass cupola of La Bauhinia or an authentic culinary journey at Shang Palace.

Inspired by the flower of the same name, La Bauhinia recalls the Asian origins of the Shangri-La group and offers a unique atmosphere in the heart of our palace. Above the restaurant, the extraordinary glass "dome", designed by the famous architect Maurice Gras, bathes the restaurant in light. The Executive Chef Christophe Moret and the Pastry Chef Maxence Barbot have prepared a seasonal menu inspired by the regions of France, all in delicacy and lightness.

Shang Palace is the only Chinese restaurant in France to be awarded a Michelin star. Inspired by Southeast China's culinary traditions, the restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine by Chef Samuel Lee. The venue includes a main dining room and two private dining rooms; Tang can host until 12 guests and Qing Ming has a capacity of 24 guests maximum.

Adorned with century-old woodwork and made up of small sofas and armchairs in the style of "salons particuliers," the Lounges move to the rhythms of a Parisian day.

Honouring the favourite pastime of the palace’s original resident, Prince Roland Bonaparte, Le Bar Botaniste celebrates botany with rare botanical spirits. This nature-inspired bar features plants under cloches in each corner and authentic absinthe fountains. Le Bar Botaniste offers an extensive menu of exclusive cocktail creations inspired by Roland's expeditions around Europe and Asia as well as a selection of gourmet tapas.

A Parisian hideaway isolated from the commotion and stress of urban life, Chi, The Spa bases its expertise on a comprehensive quest for wellness: physical and mental balance drawing their strength from the same energy, Qi (Chi). Providing the perfect fusion of French luxury and Asian inspiration, the Spa is built around a beautiful 17-metre swimming pool that's bathed in natural light and opens out onto a spectacular 94 sqm green terrace.

For those looking to stay active, the hotel's state-of-the-art Health Club overlooks the swimming pool terrace and offers a wide range of equipment including cycling machines and treadmills, an elliptical trainer, a stepper, a Vario cardio-training machine and a multi-functional Kinesis strength training machine.

Th ehotel offers 100 rooms and suites individually designed in a distinct French-meets-Asian style, dominated by a calming Rococo colour scheme and bathed in natural light. Commanding spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower or Avenue d’Iéna, many rooms can interconnect to accommodate larger families or groups.
