IFEX 2026 highlights Indonesia’s Leading Furniture Design for the Southeast Asian and Global Markets
Taking place from March 5–8, Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX) 2026 is set to return as a key regional platform reinforcing Indonesia’s role as a leading furniture and craft manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia, while strengthening its reach into global markets.

The four-day exhibition will showcase more than 5,000 furniture and craft products from over 500 exhibitors, bringing manufacturers, buyers, and industry stakeholders all together in one place at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Indonesia.
Positioned as one of the region’s most strategic B2B furniture exhibitions, IFEX 2026 goes beyond presenting ready-to-market products. The exhibition reflects the continued evolution of Indonesia’s furniture industry, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship, design-driven development, and compliance with international market standards as key factors in serving both Southeast Asian demand and wider export markets.

Through its Beyond Comfort Visual theme, IFEX 2026 promotes the role of design not only as a visual element, but as a commercial value driver that enhances product competitiveness. This approach aligns with regional market trends, where buyers increasingly seek furniture solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and price competitiveness. President Director of Dyandra Promosindo and IFEX 2026 organizer, Daswar Marpaung, stated that IFEX is positioned as a meeting point between industry capability and creative development.
“IFEX 2026 is envisioned as an ecosystem where manufacturing strength meets design innovation. It enables businesses to connect with buyers from Southeast Asia and beyond, while gaining insights into market trends, design directions, and quality expectations. This platform supports our long-term objective to strengthen Indonesia’s furniture export performance and regional competitiveness.”

This commitment is reflected in IFEX 2026’s curated programs, including the Design Award Professional and Youth Design Award, aimed at fostering innovation across generations, as well as partnerships with universities under IFEX’s sustainable furniture development initiative. The exhibition will also feature more than 30 designers through designer showcases, alongside design collaborations with the Indonesian Society of Interior Designers (HDII), the Alliance of Indonesian Industrial Product Designers (ADPII), MadeCon initiated by the Ministry of Industry, and Good Design Indonesia supported by the Ministry of Trade. To further support industry readiness, IFEX 2026 will host Design Talks and industry seminars discussing regional and global furniture market dynamics, material innovation, supply chain resilience, and strategies to respond to evolving consumer preferences across Southeast Asian and international markets.
“IFEX serves as a strategic gateway for Indonesia’s furniture industry to access Southeast Asian and global markets. Continuous improvements in product quality, design capability, and adherence to international standards demonstrate that Indonesian furniture is increasingly competitive and well-positioned within the regional and global supply chain.”
Abdul Sobur, Chairman of the Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industry Association (HIMKI)
With strong collaboration among industry players, associations, designers, and government institutions, IFEX 2026 is expected to further reinforce Indonesia’s position as a reliable, export-ready furniture producer within Southeast Asia, while contributing to sustainable growth of the regional furniture and craft industry.
