Interihotel: Turning Conversations Into Projects and Connections Into Real Opportunities
Interihotel once again amazed the city of Barcelona from October 21st to 23rd, bringing more than 11,600 industry professionals from around the world, reaffirming its position as Europe's leading event for hospitality design.

Working Together - the Foundation of Interihotel
Fabrics, furniture, bathroom solutions, and the entire contract world: these were the core elements showcased at the 15th edition of Interihotel, held at Fira Barcelona - Gran Via. But the event went far beyond product exhibitions. What truly defined this year’s edition was the people: an incredibly diverse team whose combined expertise and vision represent the real engine behind the fair’s success.
Collaboration was at the heart of everything. Marketing intelligence, eco-sustainability, and the promotion of talent shaped the mission of the 2025 edition. The Interihotel team worked in perfect synergy with the AMBIT cluster, which has more than 250 member companies and entities. This partnership ensured not only impeccable organization but also the strategic gathering of high-value information essential for understanding market needs. Thanks to careful organization managed by both teams and the collection of crucial information, visitors were immersed in a mindful guest experience.
"The Power of Encounters positions Interihotel Barcelona as the meeting point where designers, hotel professionals, investors, and brands come together to shape the future of hospitality."
Toni Zaragoza, Interihotel Director, during Press Conference

Business of Encounters
With an experience of over 20 years, Interihotel isn't only about design but also the opportunities for B2B. The theme of interihotel BCN25, “The Power of Encounters”, was clearly reflected in the professional connections made throughout the event. The CC4 hall hosted an extensive program of national B2B meetings between exhibiting brands and prescribers, as well as the traditional interihotel International Reverse Trade Mission, which included representatives from major firms such as Accor, Caribe Hospitality, DWP, Enjoy Group, and HBA Miami. Across these programs, more than 600 meetings were held, reaffirming interihotel's strength as a key business-generation platform for all participants.

A Fair that puts Everyone on Equal Footing
Beyond its impeccable organization and its wide and deep offering, Interihotel distinguished itself by embracing a truly democratic approach to exhibition design. For its three-day duration, the fair established the concept of fairness: every exhibitor, regardless of company size or market presence, was provided with the same booth size. This choice created a balance between large and small companies, ensuring that all exhibitors had the opportunity to be seen for the real essence of their work (the quality of their products, their design vision, and their innovation) rather than the scale of their turnover. Likewise for visitors, this translated into a fresh and genuinely unbiased experience: free from the influence of oversized or scenographic stands. Attendees were able to observe with "an eye uninfluenced" and be naturally captivated by products with a more attentive and open perspective. The result was an environment where dialogue was easier, encounters more meaningful, and opportunities more evenly distributed.

The 2025 edition of Interihotel was not only a place for exhibitions and networking but also a rich ecosystem of curated experiences designed to inspire, educate, and challenge the current vision of hospitality design. A wide range of thematic labs, concept rooms, and installations offered visitors the opportunity to explore new perspectives, materials, and technologies shaping the future of the sector:
- Mindful Explorer Concept Room by ILV, inspired by Mercer Hoteles. The project explored the delicate balance between natural materials (like some kind of wood) and the integration of new technologies that elevate comfort, atmosphere, and sustainability.
- Materials Lab by Matter, a space dedicated to the exploration of recycled and healthy materials (such as bamboo, mycelium, and other bio-based alternatives). Here, people had the chance to interact with texture, smell, color and acoustic properties. discovering how long-term sustainability strategies can generate new materials capable of meeting the specific demands of hospitality. The lab showcased solutions derived from waste, materials designed to absorb humidity, high-resistance composites, and innovative substitutes capable of replicating the aesthetics of traditional materials while offering superior performance, for ex., acoustic panels developed from cotton industry using water and pressure.
- Xperience Lab, an immersive area mixing virtual reality and AI technologies to create new hybrid experiences. This space invited participants to reflect on how digital environments can enhance the design process and enrich the guest journey.
- Craft Lab by Tachy Mora, a space that celebrated contemporary craftsmanship as a bridge between local culture and spatial design. Through artisanal techniques interpreted with a modern approach, the installation highlighted the value of manual work in shaping meaningful and identity-driven hospitality spaces.
- Nomad's Concept Terrace by PhiBa Arquitectura from in Barcelona, a space conceived as a tribute to outdoor living and the nomadic spirit, reinterpreted through Mediterranean sensibilities.
- Key speakers' conferences featuring leading voices in the world of design and creativity like Tom Dixon, Space Copenhagen, We are Ona and Andrés Reisinger. Each contributing unique insights into the evolution of hospitality spaces and the role of design in shaping emotional experiences.
The event also featured the Interihotel BCN25 Awards, celebrating the people, studios and brands that are shaping hotel and restaurant design, driving innovation and excellence in the sector. This recognition celebrates those who, through their creative vision and commitment to quality, are redefining the hospitality experience and setting new trends in spaces for rest, gastronomy and social interaction.

Interi-Off Program – The Fair’s Impact Beyond Its Walls
One of the features that makes Interihotel truly unique on the international scene is the Interi-Off Program, a rich series of activities, bringing the spirit of the fair to the city. This parallel program filled Barcelona with design-driven energy, activating showrooms, design studios, and institutional venues and turning the city into a dynamic hub for hospitality and interior design.
Among the most noteworthy events was the exclusive preview held on October 20 at the Roca showroom, the leading company in bathroom space solutions and one of the fair’s main sponsors. This special visit offered guests a privileged opportunity to discover the brand’s latest innovations up close, deepening the conversation between innovation, design, and sustainability.
In addition to the citywide activities, the main venue hosted three major thematic forums:
- WellSpaces Forum, centered on well-being in hospitality environments;
- Future Living Forum, exploring new models of living and the future of hospitality;
- AI Interiors Forum, dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence on interior design.

Interihotel once again proved to be much more than a trade fair: it was a vibrant platform where voices, generations, and innovation converged. Through its balanced exhibition model, immersive labs, inspiring forums, and citywide Interi-Off Program, the event offered a comprehensive look at the future of hospitality design. A place that not only inform but also invite people to stay, to converse, to collaborate.
